An introduction to LOLER
This training course aims to provide learners with the necessary knowledge and understanding to enable compliance with the Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998 (LOLER)
Objectives
By the end of this course the participants will be able to:
Outline the key aspects of the regulations as they apply to your workplace
Apply the regulations to typical workplace situations
Carryout a risk assessment on lifting operations and lifting equipment and determine risk control measures
Explain the potential implications of non-compliance
Method
A classroom based training course using a mixture of trainer presentation and desk top exercises. Practical risk assessment exercises may be used where facilities allow
