Fire awareness
This training course aims to provide the necessary skills and knowledge for people to know how fire risks manifest themselves and how those risks can be eliminated or reduced.
Objectives
By the end of this course the participants will be able to:
Explain the fire triangle
Describe typical fuel and ignition sources within the work place
List the different fire extinguisher formats and explain how they are best employed
Explain good housekeeping techniques designed to avoid the risk of fire
Explain typical fire evacuation procedures and the key roles within them
Method
A classroom based training course using a mixture of trainer presentation and desk top exercises.
