Health And Safety City & Guilds 2377 - In-Service Inspection and Testing of Electrical Equipment (PAT Testing)

  • Course Code MS-84
  • Duration 2 days
  • Learners8Max

This two day City & Guilds' course has been designed for those with electrical experience, who want to cover the new Institution of Engineering and Technology In-service inspection and testing of electrical equipment 5th edition.

A notable change from the old City & Guilds Portable Appliance Testing course, is the focus on all electrical equipment, both portable and installed - moving away from the traditional 'Portable" terminology.

The largest change to the 5th edition is its move towards a risk assessment based inspection, with all inspection and testing of equipment to be carried out following an implemented electrical risk assessment. Throughout the course you will learn how to structure, implement and document this risk assessment and how to carry out the practical aspects of testing.

Upon completion of this City & Guilds electrical technical course, you will gain the working knowledge to ensure the safety of electrical equipment in accordance with the newest codes of practices. In addition to the essential knowledge you will gain - this City & Guilds accredited certificate is formal recognition of your skills and experience, which can improve your career prospects and provide new opportunities to progress into other electrical roles.
