Scottish Water Distribution Operation & Maintenance Strategy (DOMS) Modules 1 12
This training course is aimed at staff working on Scottish Waters Distribution Network, or assets that will be connected to the network. Following a review by Scottish Water, all 12 modules are included in the training for all roles. A further module (13 Sampling Practitioner) is available for those who will take samples on Scottish Waters network.
Objectives
By the end of this course the participants will be able to:

- Understand DOMS Hygiene Sampling Procedures (Module 2)
- Relate DOMS Hygiene Tools & Equipment Requirements (Module 3)
- Carry out DOMS Disinfection Procedures (Module 4)
- Follow DOMS Repair and Maintenance Procedures (Module 5)
- Relate DOMS Boundary Valve Management Procedures (Module 6)
- Understand DOMS Treated Water Storage Points Maintenance Procedures (Module 7)
- Follow DOMS Repair of Mains & Services practices (Module 8)
- Relate DOMS Secondary Disinfection of Treated Water Storage Points (Module 9)
- Understand DOMS procedures for Pumping Station Failures (Mechanical/Electrical) (Module 10)
- Understand DOMS General Maintenance Activities Requirements (Module 11)
- Relate DOMS Network Operability Procedures requirements (Module 12)
Method
The course will consist of a mixture of classroom based tuition, exercises and knowledge questionnaires
