Objectives
By the end of this course the participants will be able to:
- Evaluate data to identify potential leakage
- Determine leakage control methods and techniques in response to water loss
- Programme deploy and collect data from data-logging equipment
- Utilise and confirm performance of measuring equipment on the water distribution network
- Provide leadership for their team (O)
- Establish the integrity of Distribution Zones and District Metered Areas (O)
- Carry out step testing activities (O)
- Resolve leakage related issues with customers (O)
- Work in a safe and hygienic manner
Method
Following a classroom based induction the candidate will be assessed in the workplace during normal water network leakage activities and assisted in producing a portfolio of workplace evidence
Pre Course Requirements
Learners should be carrying out higher level leakage activities in the workplace.
