Step Testing
This course is designed to give learners the skills and knowledge to plan and carry out step tests to locate leakage within water distribution networks.
Objectives
By the end of this course the participants will be able to:
- Interpret district metered area data to identify potential leakage
- Identify area to be step tested
- Identify sluice valves appropriate for the different step testing functions
- Plan step test
- Schedule valve operations
- Carry out step test and recommission system afterwards
- Interpret step test results
Method
The course will consist of a mixture of classroom based tuition and practical exercises.
Pre Course Requirements
Learners should attend with PPE including overalls head, foot and hand protection.
