Installation of PE Barrier Pipes for supervisors
This course provides the knowledge required to carry out installation of barrier pipes in accordance with WIS 4-32-19 April 2009: Issue 2.
Objectives
By the end of this course the participants will be able to:
- State the differences between type A & type B, PE/AL/PE barrier pipe systems
- Identify the correct fittings for the type of pipe selected to meet WRAS requirements.
- Describe correct pipe preparation and jointing techniques for fusion welding of PE/AL/PE barrier pipes in accordance with WIS 4-32-08
- Describe correct mechanical jointing and connection methods for PE/AL/PE barrier pipes including installation of fluid compression fittings

A mixture of classroom and practical activities.
