Objectives
By the end of the course the learners will be able to:
- Understand the background of the disease
- Understand the requirement for risk assessment in the Approved Code of Practice L8 and BS8580
- Be able to identify of susceptible areas within high risk water system in particular hot and cold water systems and wet cooling towers
- Describe appropriate engineering methods of system modification to eliminate/reduce the risk
- Understand the written scheme requirements in accordance with Approved Code of Practice L8 and BS8580
- List the water sampling requirements and actions depending on the count identified
- Understand risk assessment documentation

Participants will ideally have a prior knowledge of water systems.
