Service reservoir cleaning
A training course providing learners with the knowledge and understanding to be able to plan and carry out routine and emergency cleaning of service reservoirs.
Objectives
By the end of this course the participants will be able to:
- Determine the need for cleaning
- Carryout a safety and operational risk assessment of cleaning and associated activities
- Outline the water supply hygiene and water quality implications and requirements
- Produce a method statement and safe system of work for cleaning
- Determine valve operations required to isolate reservoir
- Outline the people resources and operational competencies required for the cleaning activities
- List the cleaning and safety equipment required to carry out cleaning operations
