With a lot of hard work from the Merit Skills team, we are proud to announce that we have met the criteria for the governments Register of Apprenticeship Training Providers (RoATP).
The RoATP is an entry route for businesses and employers who want to deliver apprenticeship training. It plans to moderate the quality of apprenticeships and provide assurance to employers, learners, and the government.
Merit Skills position continues to strengthen following our successful application to the government’s Register of Apprenticeship Training Providers. The RoATP is the gold standard for apprenticeship and training providers across the UK.
Earlier last year, the Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA) launched a “refresh” with a new set of application criteria for 1,800 providers on the register to meet. The refresh needs every provider to go through a robust application process, with stricter entry criteria needing to be met.
The entry requirements for the register demonstrate the ESFA’s commitment to improving the quality of apprenticeship training, ensuring only providers who are appropriately skilled, and are ready to meet the skills and needs of apprentices and employers.
